ISO 9001:2015 Certified

Since 2013, we have been ISO 9001 certified for quality management within our organisation. This certification is the result of our strategic investments to achieve precise production standards and adds further value to our products and consultancy services. In 2017, we updated to the ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Environmental Management Certification

ISO 14001:2015 Certified

Preserving the environment has become a priority for industry, and ISO 14001 is the leading international standard for establishing and maintaining an Environmental Management System (EMS). These systems are becoming as important as quality management (ISO 9001) and reflect the company’s ongoing effort not only to comply with environmental regulations but also to continuously improve its environmental performance. We obtained ISO 14001 certification in 2018.

Occupational Health and Safet

ISO 45001:2018 Certified

ISO 45001, “Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements with guidance for use,” specifies requirements for health and safety management systems, enabling safe and healthy workplaces, preventing work-related injuries and health issues,

and proactively improving occupational health and safety. We obtained ISO 45001:2018 certification in December 2023.

Chain of Custody Certification

PEFC Certified (PEFC/18-32-78)

In recent years, we have taken further steps to protect the environment by obtaining PEFC certification for our Chain of Custody. This certification confirms that we implement a system to track timber products throughout all stages of our production process. At no stage can timber from controversial sources (e.g., illegally felled wood or protected areas) enter or mix with certified stock, ensuring that our final products are made from materials whose origin is known and verified.

Similarly, our FSC® certification ensures full traceability of wood throughout the production process, guaranteeing that our final products are sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Eligibility for Public Procurement

SOA Certification OS32 V

The qualification certificate replaces the old National Register of Builders and is required for participation in public works contracts exceeding €150,000. It is issued by competent S.O.A. bodies after verifying general requirements (compliance with anti-mafia regulations, professional ethics, DURC compliance, etc.) and special requirements (financial, technical, organisational capacity, equipment, and staffing). Mozzone Building System recently obtained certification for category OS32 (Timber Structures), Class V (contracts up to €5,165,000).

Glued Laminated Timber Processing Centre Certification

Recognised by the Higher Council of Public Works

We operate in full compliance with technical standards set by the Higher Council of Public Works. These regulations require the appointment and training of an internal Technical Production Manager and provide guidance on designing and testing timber structures. All documentation proving our qualifications for structural timber processing is deposited with the Higher Council, allowing us to be recognised as a Glued Laminated Timber Processing Centre. Certified processes include structural solid timber elements (main species: fir, douglas fir, chestnut, pine, larch, oak) and laminated timber elements (main species: fir, larch).

Commitment to the Environment

Demonstrating our commitment to the environment, the Mozzone Group (Mozzone Building System and Mozzone Fratelli) invested in renewable energy by installing a photovoltaic system capable of supplying the entire Group. Since 2013, we have drawn all the electricity we need from the sun, feeding any surplus back

Timber traceability is increasingly important in the supply chain as a form of environmental protection and to combat illegal logging. Strict controls and a dedicated labelling system allow companies and consumers to identify wood and products from responsibly managed forests. All materials supplied by Mozzone Building System, from panels to joints, fully comply with CE certification requirements, offering significant benefits during construction, including:

ETA-12/0540 Marking Project

CE River Use Chestnut Certification

We are among 31 companies in Italy participating in the ETA-12/0540 Marking Project, certified for CE River Use Chestnut by the ConLegno Consortium. Founded in 2002 to protect forest heritage and biodiversity, ConLegno manages 14 national and international brands and is recognised by the European Commission as a Control Body under EU Regulation 995/2010 – Due Diligence.
